Choosing the right environment for your child is an important decision. At Malaika House, we aim to make that process supportive, transparent, and reassuring. We offer a flexible, nurturing space where learning and personal growth happen naturally, through curiosity, community, and care.
Attendance Options and Fees
We understand that every family’s needs are different, so we offer two attendance options:
Fees are billed monthly and include all Malaika House sessions, individualised learning support, and participation in our full developmental and life-skills program.
Learning and Development at Malaika House
Malaika House is not a traditional school. We are an education and development centre that focuses on holistic learning, emotional well-being, and practical skill-building. Our approach supports both structured academic learning and self-directed education.
For families who have chosen to follow an academic curriculum, such as the British International curriculum, we offer flexible learning support that fits around the child’s pace and interests. Our facilitators provide guidance, help learners build good study habits, and connect concepts to real-life applications.
At the same time, we encourage self-directed learning, where students explore their passions and interests, developing practical and creative skills that support future independence and personal fulfilment.
A Typical Day at Malaika House
Our daily rhythm is designed to support calm focus, creativity, and balance. Each day includes time for mindfulness, learning, practical life skills, and open exploration.
Arrival and Morning Mindfulness (08:00–09:00)
Students arrive and begin the day gently. They choose a mindfulness activity such as sitting outdoors, listening to music, drawing, or simply taking time to settle into the space and connect with their surroundings.
Learning or Self-Directed Session
Students engage in guided academic learning or a personalised development session, depending on their goals and learning path.
Brain Break
A short, restorative break allows time for movement, rest, or sensory regulation before returning to focused activities.
Life Skills Session
These sessions are drawn from our weekly program, which includes Adventure, Creative Storytelling, Construction, Curiosity Club, Wellness Wednesday, Mix It Up, and Gardening. Each one builds practical, social, and emotional skills in real-world contexts, helping learners grow in confidence and independence.
Lunch and Social Time
Students can share a meal together, practice social communication, and take time to connect and relax.
Open Learning
The day ends with open learning, where students choose what they would like to explore next — continuing a project, experimenting with a new idea, or simply following a curiosity. This time encourages creativity, autonomy, and reflection before the day closes.
